Our qualified, friendly and reliable chimney sweeps work with both brush and vacuum methods of chimney cleaning. They are fully insured and provide a thorough service with the aim to cause as little disruption as possible to your home.
We are experts in all aspects of chimney sweeping, flue sweeping and flue cleaning and you can always be sure of having your work done by a polite and dedicated chimney sweep.
After each completed sweep, a certificate is issued. These records are necessary as many insurers will not pay out on a claim for a chimney fire, unless there is proof of regular chimney cleaning and maintenance.
How regularly should the chimney be swept?
There are over 30,000 chimney fires every year causing unnecessary damage to homes across the UK. These could easily be prevented by regular basic cleaning and maintenance.
The Fire Brigade recommends that chimneys are swept regularly to prevent the risk of chimney fires. How regularly depends on the type of fuel being burnt as follows:
- Smokeless fuel – Once a year
- Coal – Twice a year
- Wood Burning – Quarterly
- Gas – Once a year
- Oil fired - Once a year
All chimney sweep work is carried out by a fully trained and insured member of the team.

Charges
All rates will be detailed on the customer receipt, with a full breakdown of costs.
Chimney sweeping (open fire or log burner) – £45.00
Log burner sweep & safety check: £75.00 – includes:
- smoke draw test and stove leakage test
- check all rope and joint seal
- inspection of all fire bricks and throat plate
- clean stove glass
- clean and polish the wood burner
(*Please note there will be extra costs if parts need replacing.)
Unblocking a chimney £25 for the first hour then £20 for every hour after.
